Cookie Policy

Last reviewed: 6 August 2026 · Maintained by Pilot.

Review status: This content is a product draft and remains subject to ongoing legal, privacy and operational review.

Pilot uses cookies and browser storage for core security and product functions. Optional categories must remain off until a user makes an affirmative choice.

Categories

  • Strictly necessary: security, authentication, consent records and core service operation. These cannot be disabled through the consent control.
  • Preferences: optional interface choices that are not required for the service to operate.
  • Analytics: optional measurement used to understand service performance or usage.
  • Marketing: optional attribution or advertising-related processing.

Current browser-storage and Analytics inventory

  • pilot_consent: a strictly necessary first-party cookie containing the current consent-policy version, category choices and decision timestamps. It is configured for up to 180 days.
  • pilot.cookie-consent.v2: a strictly necessary local browser record of the same minimal consent evidence. It remains until cleared, withdrawn or replaced after a material policy-version change.
  • _ga: a host-only Google Analytics first-party cookie used after explicit Analytics consent.
  • _ga_<container-id>: a host-only Google Analytics first-party cookie used for Analytics session state after explicit Analytics consent.

Google Analytics is loaded only on approved public Pilot pages after you explicitly enable the Analytics category and an approved production measurement configuration is present. Pilot explicitly sends controlled page-view events using canonical URLs without query strings or fragments and does not supply Pilot account identifiers or page referrers. Advertising and personalised marketing signals are disabled in Pilot's integration.

Withdrawing Analytics consent stops future Pilot page-view calls and removes known Google Analytics cookies from this site. Marketing technology is not enabled by the Analytics choice.

Your choices

You can accept all optional categories, reject all non-essential categories, or manage each category. Rejecting optional categories must not prevent access to Pilot's core functionality.

Withdrawal

A choice can be changed through the Manage cookie settings button or the Cookie settings control in a public footer. Withdrawal is applied when the updated choice is saved.
